Of the 7 1/2 Habits of Highly Successful Lifetime Learners, the hardest for me is:
#1 Begin with the end in mind
I've gotten a lot better at this in the last few years (partly because in grad school I pretty much forced myself to think in terms of concrete goals -- get to Flushing today, finish this paper, write a thesis proposal), but I still often start things with fairly hazy goals. Or at least without thinking that anything will *have* to come to an end.
The easiest for me is:
#2 Accept responsibility for your own learning
Perhaps related to #1, I don't think I will ever think of myself as a finished learner. I've always looked for classes, lectures, trainings, and workshops to attend, and am always gathering things to read and listen to.

Thing # 3: Flickr - a photo of one of the best sports ever
I've never used Picasa; only Flickr. I think this happened due to the kind of critical mass that seems to happen over and over with Web 2.0 -- i.e., all my friends use Flickr.
This photo was taken back in October 2007 by my friend Meredith. It's quad rugby being played at a roller skating rink in Newark, NJ, by the United Spinal Jets. I also highly, highly recommend the documentary Murderball.
